finally, a transhumanist stamp, but why did I have to do it?
transhumanism: The embracement of technology and science to overcome the limitations of biology, to evolve past the human condition and ultimately become "posthuman". if someone has a better definition than what I came up with, could you send it please ... That is how I see it, you will probably be able to find a better definition somewhere else though... whilst most transhumanists believe that by becoming posthuman we can "escape" our humanity and become something better, I believe that a posthuman is just part of the natural evolution of humanity, and is much closer to our notion of "human-ness" when we consider things like empathy, creativity, communication etc than our current biological bodies can allow for with all the limitations on our mind. Oh and by "flesh is weak" I just mean how transient we are in such shells, in comparison to say the life of a sun which can span billions of years and yet we can barely last for 100. it was not to imply that the body or the physical is bad. I wouldn't want to be preaching a christian morality in some other form. |

I found his musings underneath the comic much more interesting than the actual comics. his parody of existing arguments against transhumanism is very funny.
